Bruises

I can't believe it's July already!!

This has got to be one of my busiest months ever. My Biology finals is end of this month!! My journey to the much dreaded day is full of obstacles, namely speeches, group forum, and a 40-page report. Can someone tell me how the heck am I supposed to study for my finals when I am too occupied with the side activities?! Failure is NOT an option for me.

I really, REALLY want to go on an escapade during my 3-week semester break in August. There is no way I'm going to rot at home at that time. My weekends are filled with work, so that leaves me with weekdays. Since I am one of the so-called vacation planners, I need to come up with a holiday that everyone will agree on going. As soon as possible. Any suggestions? (Great, another thing to add on my July to-do list!)

PS, I'm glad to have someone whom I can rely on. I could not have asked for a better person than you. :) At the same time, I hate the silent treatments I have been receiving from the other party. :(

Mage Cafe

I had my Biology midterms yesterday and got my results on the day itself. Although I did not get the score I wanted, but I think it's good enough to save me from being in the D-list. Now I have to rely on my group project and finals to secure a better grade (hopefully an A)!

Anyway, I just got back from a gathering with my Form 6 pals - Yol, May Lee, Sharon, Jerome, Laveen, Jesvin, Ryui Bynn, Moong Kiew, Mun Yee, Sin Yee - plus Mun Yee's friend, Shwu Juin at Mage Cafe, which is located along the shoplots next to the Atria shopping centre in Petaling Jaya. It's more like a games cafe, where you can enjoy food and play some interesting games such as cards, board games, et cetera. If I am not mistaken, each person who plays will be charged RM2.50/hour. You might want to enquire the friendly people at Mage Cafe first to avoid any misunderstandings.

To Laveen and May Lee who are returning to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) respectively, all the best in your new semesters! :)

P.S - Something embarassing happened to me when I was walking out of the door of my house, which I won't elaborate because it was due to my carelessness. Ouch!

My Loves

Sorry if you're sick of reading blog posts and articles about Michael Jackson. I just have to say something. I'll keep it short and sweet, I promise.

To those who don't know, I have always been a fan of Michael Jackson. Unlike some people, I did not convert to his fan overnight after learning about his untimely death. Heck, I have been listening to his music for years! Despite the unsuccessful plastic surgeries and child molestation cases, you can't deny the fact that Michael Jackson is one of the best performers ever existed. I may not like every single song that he recorded in his lifetime, but I do have my all-time favourites...the ones that I will never get sick of listening to.

- Billie Jean
- Remember The Time
- Thriller
- In The Closet
- Black OR White
(Thanks baby for pointing out the error - I put "and" instead of "or" :p)
- They Don't Care About Us
- Earth Song
- You Are Not Alone
- Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
- Rock With You
- The Way You Make Me Feel

Mr. Jackson, thank you for sharing your music with the rest of the world. Rest assured, your music will never die. :)

PS - HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY, BABY! <3

Cold-blooded mammals

As humans, none of us are perfect. Hence, it is not uncommon that we do mistakes, isn't it? Well, almost.

We can't use our imperfection as a excuse to commit immoral acts such as stealing, or worse, taking away another person's life. Who are we to decide whether a person should die or otherwise? We all know that the decision regarding a person's life and death rests solely on God's hands. If so, why do murderers still exist? How can we live in peace, knowing that someone might be lurking around...looking for victims who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?

Few days ago, Laveen sent me an invitation to join a group in Facebook, which was created in memory of a 16-year-old Japanese schoolgirl who was brutally murdered back in 1989. I am still horrified by the details of her murder, so I won't elaborate much about it. In a nutshell, she was kidnapped by four guys (all of them were below 21 years old) and they tortured her for 44 days before she eventually succumbed to her injuries. If you are curious and brave enough to know more about her ordeal, read it here.

The creators of this group have included a few links, all of them who were victims of merciless killings. If you think that only adults are capable of commiting this crime, think again. James Patrick Bulger, 2, was killed by two 10-year-olds who abducted him from a shopping mall. His muderers were not even teenagers, for goodness sake! If that's not gory enough for you, check out this Japanese serial killer.

My point is, please be careful everyone! The world is not a safe place anymore, sad to say. More importantly, never trust a book by its cover. In other words, don't trust people so easily. Keep your guards up a little bit when you're meeting strangers, aite?

Here's a gentle reminder to girls out there: PLEASE DON'T BE AN IDIOT AND TAKE NUDE SHOTS/RECORD SEX TAPES WITH YOUR PARTNERS! Gosh. Don't you know that someday, somehow those X-rated pictures and videos of yours will be circulated?! Trust me, IT WILL. Seriously, the "I-did-it-to-keep-as-my-personal-collection" and the "if-you-love-me,-you will-do-it" excuses are total bullshit! Isn't it obvious that they are nothing but a bunch of perverts? What kind of boyfriends would subject their girlfriends to these treatments? If your partner is making these ridiculous requests...I'd say, DUMP HIM! He is so not worth it. Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't appreciate you or treat you right? Think about it.

All work and no play makes Kim a dull girl

I LOATHE SHORT SEMESTERS!

I have never felt so stressed before...I mean, I do feel the pressure in the other semesters, but Summer semester has got to be the worst one ever! Forgive me if I don't get to go for outings that much. Check out my to-do list for this summer:

Biology
> Organize one awareness campaign per week, which is related to the topic chosen (my group's doing meningitis). Week 1 down, 3 more weeks to go!!
> I have not started the bloody 40-page report yet. ARGH!!!
> STUDY FOR EXAMS!

Public Speaking
> Informative speech - July 9th
> Forum (group work) - July 10th
> Persuasive speech - July 13th
> Damn it...I have no idea about what topic I'm going to do for my speeches. Any ideas?

I just remembered. The subject registration week for Fall 2009 is during midterm week itself. Marvelous. I have never seen such time management before. Not only I have to do all the work listed above, I have to figure out what subjects I'm taking next semester too! Judging from the timetables every semester, it is definitely not easy to choose your subjects. For real.

PS - There are so many June babies in my life! So, HAPPY *insert age* BIRTHDAY, people!!!

I'm so into you

If you felt somewhat fearful towards me after reading my recent Facebook statuses, I'm sorry.

If I have been complaining so much about not being able to use my senses like a normal human being, I'm sorry.

If I got upset at you over small matters nowadays, I'm sorry.

If I went green with envy unnecessarily, I'm sorry.

However, I am not sorry about the fact that I'm not feeling well at the moment. It's just my luck.

PS - Trust is something that I don't give easily, yet betrayal is all it takes for me to take it back.
